- Chris Walsh Bad Sportsmanship!!! The game should be won or lost on the Court. This is like making noise when someone is putting. I don't know how this sort of thing ever got started, but that should be a technical foul on the Buffs.
- MS X Noooo. This is college basketball with tradition. Traditionally, you don't make noise when putting. At a soccer match, should people quiet down when a player has a free kick? I think it's kids having a great time and the players expect this sort of thing. It's no fun for the athletes to play to a crowd who's quietly sitting. It's all in good fun.
- Chris Walsh I strongly disagree. It is the same *%#! as when bands turn around during introductions. It is disrespectful, and I personally hate to see it. The only reason it is tradition is someone lowered the bar of sportsmanship and good taste and let it slide. I played for and in John Wooden's House. Think and embody class. You are never wrong if you hold yourself and your subordinates to a higher standard.People actually argued with this. I really don't think I am wrong. I think when people stand too close to a machine for too long, they don't hear it anymore.

Me and My Big Mouth
I seem to have gotten in trouble with my opinions, This was because I offered this opinion regarding Bands distracting teams during basketball free throw shooting.

I truly regret that my old gf(s) cannot be friends with me. As one of my therapists said once, my mind has a wonderful,"neurotic playground". I recall every unique thing about these two girls bodies. You can't go back, but I sure wish I could. No, going back wouldn't be it. It is a lateral move. I was dumb, but everyone had a lot of life to live. Sitting still wouldn't have worked and would have deprived everyone of victories and defeats. I will try to use one word for each GF.
1. Cherie - discovery
2. Lisa - trouble
3. Blennie - fantastic
4. BREAK
5. Cindy - waste
6. Sheree - ungrateful
7. BREAK
8. Darla- saved
There have been many who could have served well, Laura Riendeau, Amy Strellner & Robin Collins come to mind. All were different, but honorable. Others like Leslie were just wrong. She earns the title of Bitch.
Poor Jan Golden. I liked her but I didn't pass the Mean Girls exam. She got shot and killed by her husband. Guess I might have been a better choice. Janella deserves a mention here, because even though we weren't really a thing, she is one of the four girls who are now dead that I made out with. Leslie Adams completes that group.
Strange I find that when I was at my most physical perfection, twice, in HS as Fall Senior, and the Army, I had nothing. A couple of girls at parties. . . And Tracy Richards, who WAS fun. Actually got through 6 months of Army to see her again.
This entry has been purely for my benefit. I lived through the 70's, 80's 90's trying to get married. I succeeded in marrying someone who fucked my head up. I got to do that again.

I figure I have been using FB more than I should. Opinions, little things I personally find funny -- Observations on History, that have no place there. Today there is an important football game. I dislike NFL Football much as I dislike the NBA,and MLB. The NHL holds a different place due to a reverence for the skills of those men, but deep contempt for the strikes and ridiculous admission prices they have brought, ($65 for cheapest Kings seat).
4 teams play today: Denver and NE, SF and Seattle.
Who do I like since I don't care? Well I spent one full day in Denver. I have never been to NE, though my family is from there and my ancestors are buried in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Tom Brady has had a ridiculous string of girlfriends. Jealousy raises it's head. Denver was out and out weird. . . the people had that Phoenix gloss, but weighed in at at least 20 lbs more than AZers. I also liked the QB Mannings father, Archie, who played for the "Ain'ts" a long time ago. Since I had a shitty time in Denver, and would like to have been Tom Brady when he got to sleep with Bridget Moynahan, we will go with New England.
SF and Seattle: if you add San Antonio, we would have the 3 cities with the worst traffic I have ever experienced. Considering I have spent more days in San Francisco and have never had a good time in Seattle, SF gets the nod.

Due to my Catholic upbringing I am really tolerant of religion. I had my personal crisis of faith after 9/11. The Conn.shootings brings this to a whole new level.
This no good fuck. . . just like the guy in Clackamas before, doesn't even stick around for the other part. Retribution, hatred, . . . what about religion? Eternal damnation? He has that from the public. Read a thing from Morgan Freeman yesterday. . . said it is the medias fault because we all know the names of the Columbine shooters, but none of the victims. Word.
Back to religion and the Connecticut gunman. . . does God/Jesus/Allah/ love him?
One thing I am particularly angered about; people are blaming his family,in particular the brother who hadn't spoke to him in years. My one sister is a hopeless alcoholic. I have no patience for her lies, and empty promises, she owes me money, too. I can only stand as an example. My life is certainly not pure by standards of the church, but the guardrails are firm. I have thought of suicide before, perhaps in a public place, but I never dream of taking anyone with me.
A lot of people say we need to go back to the 50's 60's, where things were simpler. Those times would mean intolerance for alternative lifestyles, few women in the work force and a general boringness that I would love.
I live in a small town in Oregon, one who has been ravaged by the loss of the timeber industry. Men with little smarts and big muscles made a lot of money, and a lot of children. We need that again. Close the colleges. Get out there after highschool on the levelest of playing fields. Do we need men in suits who do little but. . . wait, I see it: Remember in those movies where the gods sit around a ring in the clouds and watch, play with the earthlings. Put the Gods in $1000.00 suits, there you have it. One ordinary man cannot change the world in a positive way, but he certainly can ruin it.

Too Soon/Too Late
What I wouldn't give. . . Cherie, Blennie, I didn't know anything. Both of you are so contentedly married. More often than I should I think about how it would be to have sex together, when we both would know what we were doing.
Fly on the Wall
I was perusing the web and found a girl doing herself in her office at work. There was a woman I had a bizarre relationship(?) with at the City. She had told me she had F'ed herself at her desk on a saturday. Man, would I have liked to have seen that. Why, I ask myself? I think it was because I was often on such an intimate level with the Buildings in the City. I was often alone and they would allude to their secrets. You knew in the 1/2 century plus, there had been sex in those hallowed halls, but rumor aside, if I didn't see it, or hear it from someone who participated, it didn't happen.
I so wish I had been a fly on the wall watching Karen Little on that quiet Saturday.

The Politics of silence with FB
Good God I hate politics on FB. While I can get in the car and listen to any of the Right Wing Pot Stirrers and realize, that just like Howard Stern or Jim Rome, it's all a persona, a vehicle for ratings and money, on FB these are people in real life who have nothing to gain by putting it all out there. . . and out there they are.
Conspiracies, Obama's birth certificate, etc.; they really believe this stuff. Everyone has a right to an opinion, just as everyone has a right to a religion. It would be nice if someone would ask if we would want to know their opinion/religion.
Some have said religion is like a penis. We don't want to see it or hear you talk about it, and we certainly don't want it crammed down. . . yes, yes.
I have manged to stay silent on political issues on FB for more than a month now. I am proud of myself for that.
it is none of my business all of this hub bub about the breast cancer people and Planned Parenthood. I don't have any reproductive issues and I don't need a mamogram, but to see such turmoil. Not good. Aren't these both charities? Why do they call being anti abortion, pro life? Why do they call pro abortion groups pro choice? I imagine pro abortion has a negative connotation, as it should.
I got asked to sign a legalize marijuana petition yesterday. I thought back and told the girl how in the 70's we were sure that 4:20 would be legalized soon. Why is gay rights such a successful issue as opposed to pot? I don't believe I would smoke pot now, but this hazy cloud of semilegality and quasi medicinal value seems worse than if it were just illegal. Don't ask don't tell.
And how the hell does peeing in a cup not violate the 5th amendment?
