The Politics of silence with FB

Good God I hate politics on FB. While I can get in the car and listen to any of the Right Wing Pot Stirrers and realize, that just like Howard Stern or Jim Rome, it's all a persona, a vehicle for ratings and money, on FB these are people in real life who have nothing to gain by putting it all out there. . . and out there they are.
Conspiracies, Obama's birth certificate, etc.; they really believe this stuff. Everyone has a right to an opinion, just as everyone has a right to a religion. It would be nice if someone would ask if we would want to know their opinion/religion.
Some have said religion is like a penis. We don't want to see it or hear you talk about it, and we certainly don't want it crammed down. . . yes, yes.
I have manged to stay silent on political issues on FB for more than a month now. I am proud of myself for that.
it is none of my business all of this hub bub about the breast cancer people and Planned Parenthood. I don't have any reproductive issues and I don't need a mamogram, but to see such turmoil. Not good. Aren't these both charities? Why do they call being anti abortion, pro life? Why do they call pro abortion groups pro choice? I imagine pro abortion has a negative connotation, as it should.
I got asked to sign a legalize marijuana petition yesterday. I thought back and told the girl how in the 70's we were sure that 4:20 would be legalized soon. Why is gay rights such a successful issue as opposed to pot? I don't believe I would smoke pot now, but this hazy cloud of semilegality and quasi medicinal value seems worse than if it were just illegal. Don't ask don't tell.
And how the hell does peeing in a cup not violate the 5th amendment?
